Nulltide
Nulltide is a sci-fi survival settlement RPG I’m building in Godot.
This is still a very rough build. It is not balanced, not polished, and definitely not final. What you’re playing right now is basically the game while I’m still figuring out what it wants to be.
The current direction is much more focused on building a settlement, creating clones, assigning workers, gathering resources, and sending clone squads out on dangerous expeditions. Earlier versions were more of a normal RPG where the player had stats, gear, and fought enemies directly, but that is being changed. The player is now more of the stranded administrator trying to keep the settlement alive while clones do the labor, crafting, exploring, and fighting.
Right now, I’m mostly testing the core loop:
Build the settlement. Make workers. Use workers to produce more resources. Use those resources to make better clones. Send clone squads into expeditions. Bring back loot, gear, and materials. Try not to get everyone killed in the process.
Current systems include:
• Settlement building
• Clone worker creation and management
• Modular clone worker sprites
• Resource production
• Crafting and item systems
• Clone traits and stats
-With an additive system to increase player control over what traits clones roll.
• Expeditions
• Clone squad combat
• Procedural generated Gear
• S.A.M. tutorial/directive system
Expect placeholder art, rough UI, bugs, weird balance, unfinished features, and systems changing between updates. Some older RPG systems are still being removed or replaced as the game shifts more toward clone-based settlement survival.
If something feels broken, confusing, too slow, too easy, too strong, useless, or just not fun, please let me know. That is exactly why this build exists.
Thanks for checking it out and helping me shape Nulltide while it is still ugly, unstable, and mutating in real time.
